To say or not to say is the question of the day....
One of my friends asked me recently what do you do when you know you are falling for someone but that someone is not right for you. how do you try not to fall for a person who would never love you back the way you do? how do you look that person in the eyes and try not to think about your beating heart? and more importantly, how do you stay friends with them while all the time wishing you could be more? how do you work around a fatal attraction?
M answer was simple "i dont know". i dont know how the heart works. i dont know how to handle love. but i do know one thing. its always better not to lose a friend for the sake of love. unrequited love is always diffcult to live with. but its more difficult to live with a broken heart and a broken friendship. so i say never risk friendship for love.

You know what, This post of yours sounds more like a defense speech of a coward, How can you just live on assumptions that the other person will not say Yes and suppress your feelings. Who knows may be he/she is just waiting for you to come up! How can you just waste such a B'ful emotion because you are scared you will loose a friend? If he/she is your true friend he/she should not take it as offense, rather he/she should be the one who should be understanding you and your feelings the best! If he/she is your true friend. And who says a friend can not be soul mate. Friend is the only and best soulmate you can get!If you treat it as a secret, the friend is the one, who has RIGHT to know it. And by hiding it you are snatching his/her right, insulting his/her commitment and trust in the relation!
ReplyDeleteHere is my answer and I would insist you hear it once, once again, for me. Pls..

this is not a coward talking. this is a realist giving a very pratical advice. like i said unrequited love hurts. but more than that a broken heart or a rejected love hurts. and then things become awkward. u chalk every little action down to that one single emotion. u become extra careful. ur friend starts treating u extra carefully. it all just becomes a huge mess.
Deletei am monitoring this interesting exchange...
ReplyDeletei knew you would. after all you asked me for advice.
ReplyDeleteif that is the case then violet should have never have let her feelings out! n April would have never accepted it. If there is a depth and commitment, understanding comes by naturally. And you are realizing your title of "Dogle Insaan" by contradicting urself!
